Hogenakkal Tourism

Located in the western part of the Dharmapuri district bordering Karnataka, Hogenakkal is a village in the Dharmapuri district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, famously known for it Honegakkal Fall.

Situated on the border between the Dharmapuri district of Tamil Nadu and the Chamrajnagar district of Karnataka, the Hogenakkal Falls is one of the most famous waterfalls in India.

The Hogenakkal falls, sometimes referred to as the Niagara Falls of India, is recognized for bathing areas and hired boat rides and as a significant tourist attraction.

Settled between the Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri Districts of Tamil Nadu on one side and bordered by Cauvery on the Karnataka side, the Melagiris are a chain of hills on the Eastern Ghats, comprises an expanse of about 1295 square kilometers of arid deciduous and semi-evergreen forests.

Hogenakkal Falls, Mettur Dam, Melagiri Hills, and Pennagram Village are some of the most important tourist destinations to visit in Honegakkal.
